High/Low Dez Chap is the quintessential scent of the desert. Aside from its bright and uplifting fragrance, the creosote/chaparral plant has many benefits! The medicinal properties of the creosote bush (Larrea tridentata), have been traditionally used by Native American Indian tribes in Southwestern North America and the Amerindians from South America. The plant is rich in simple bisphenyl lignans and tricyclic lignans known as cyclolignans. These compounds are responsible for the pharmacological activities of extracts of the plants. Some of these activities, namely antioxidant, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory, were known a century ago.
